As some of you with a little knowledge of boats might know, the "Tall Ships" are in Liverpool at the moment. They're due to be sailing off this afternoon/evening and it looks set to be pretty spectacular. I went down to the docks yesterday to have a wander around (although I spent much of the time in my wheelchair) and it was absolutely freezing - the wind has been REALLY strong and is particularly strong down by the river.
We went into one of the smaller buildings of the local maritime museum where they had a model of the new Liverpool museum. I'm really impressed because it looks like a really modern design, and will be placed next to 3 buildings on the waterfront that were also very modern in their day. Its quite a nice example of progression of architechural styles I think
!
After several hours of wandering round the Albert Dock, where all the smaller boats were, we decided to go to a dock further along where all the BIG ones were. They were absolutely huge, and we were allowed to go onboard some of them to have a look around.
After that, we were all getting a bit hungry and decided to go for a meal, there's a really nice Indian restaurant not far from where I used to live so we went there. We were panicking as we ordered far too much food, but we still managed to eat it all

Didn't know you were into boats. I learnt something new there!
